Ok, so it's been a while, I've been "busy" and when I say "busy" what I really mean is "lazy". So here's what's been going on in the frigid, barren, exile that is the town of Lakeview: my heater ran out of oil, so I'm heating one room of my house with an electric radiator until I get paid again. I'm jonesing badly for Portland, it seem like a magical promised land of culture and entertainment compared to here. The record stores, the restaurants, the book stores, the concerts. Oh Lordy I need a vacation. Maybe once the weather warms up The Frigg and I will take a constitutional to experience forgotten urban cultures and customs, providing I can get my piece of junk car legal and roadworthy again. I've been eating a lot of Shredded Wheat for some reason. Other than that I miss my brothers and my friends but I'm just killing time till the end of the summer when I figure I'll look for some design job in Portland since I'll have a year's experience under my belt. Lakeview is ok, but there's no opportunity here, no jobs, no girls, no record stores. I need to reenter society.

So, I was in Milwaukie on Sunday and decided that rent must be really cheap there. It is also not as far to downtown from Milwaukie as it is from Hillsboro. Judging by the number of seedy chinese restaurants and strip clubs and the general condition of apartments there, you might have to start following teenage girls down the street in a busted old chevy van if you moved there.
That's been my plan all along! You're on to me!
